BACKHAUL Book a call

Backups that have been tested, not assumed.

Many businesses find out what their backups are worth only when someone tries a restore: jobs that failed quietly, copies that cannot be read, a plan nobody has run. This service checks what you have, fixes what is broken, and proves it with a test restore and a written result.

It is the same discipline behind every tool Backhaul builds, offered on its own for businesses that already know their backups, disaster recovery or VMware exit need attention. Looking for automation instead? See software and automation.

What we do, in plain terms.

Backup health check

A fixed-scope first engagement. We review every job, the retention and the alerting, restore a sample, and give you a written report with a prioritized fix list.

Backup and replication

Design, deployment and upgrades on enterprise backup platforms: repositories, immutable copies, job tuning, replica failover and failback.

In plain terms: copies of your systems that cannot be changed or deleted, and a second copy ready to take over.

Backup remediation

Policy design, protection storage and reporting, and fixing the jobs that fail or degrade quietly and nobody notices.

Disaster recovery

Recovery targets (RPO and RTO) in plain terms, runbooks that a non-specialist can follow, and scheduled test restores with a written result.

In plain terms: how much data you can afford to lose, and how long you can be down.

Migration off VMware

VMware licensing changes have pushed many businesses to look at leaving. We assess the current estate, explain the choice between Azure and Azure Local in plain terms, compare licensing and cost, plan and run the migration, and rebuild backup and replication on the new platform before cutover is called done.

Monitoring, alerting and notifications

Dashboards, scheduled reports, and alerts routed to email, Teams or SMS, so a failed backup or a full disk is seen the same day by the right person. Alert rules are tuned so people stop ignoring them.

Every engagement is quoted as a fixed price after a scoping call. No hourly surprises.
